A heat pump provides both heating and air conditioning for your home or business. Modern technology has resulted in significantly improved energy efficiency of heat pumps and other HVAC systems. Our certified technicians offer heat pump installation, and other heat pump service.

Types of Heat Pumps

Heat pumps offer a variety of options for your home’s heating and air conditioning. These options include:

  • Air-source heat pumps – Heat is extracted from air drawn across its heat exchanger. Source temperature will be dependent on prevailing ambient temperature and varies through the year depending on geographic area. The process is reversed with a reversing valve to provide air conditioning.
  • Gas heat pumps – Sometimes referred to as absorption pumps, they work similar to the air source heat pump, except rather than use electricity to fuel their operation they use natural gas.
Geothermal heat pumps – Can be ground sourced or water sourced. Uses pipes either buried in the ground or submerged in a water source. It is a closed loop system. Geothermal heat pumps take advantage of the consistent temperature underground or under water. We offer heat pump services for geothermal heat pumps.
  • Mini-split heat pumps – Also known as the mini ductless heat pump. Utilizes one outdoor unit and up to 8 indoor units connected by refrigerant lines to each section. Enables you to utilize zoned HVAC, to heat or cool some rooms and not others, and to set different temperatures for each room, or zone. It eliminates the need for ducts, and their energy losses.

With so many systems available there is sure to be one just right for your home.

A Heat Pump Will Save on Energy Costs

Heat pump efficiency has greatly increased in the last few decades, and continues to improve. In fact, modern heat pumps are so efficient they generate about four times the energy that they consume. In addition, low temperature tolerances have improved, increasing heat pump efficiency at lower temperatures, and providing colder air than ever before during the heat of the summer. When you need a new heating and air conditioning system in Fort Worth, Arlington and surrounding areas, the modern heat pump is definitely worth considering.
